Bio Iris Post

 

 

Iris Post is in Meppel ( Nederland ) geboren in juli 1982. Op elfjarige leeftijd is zij naar België verhuisd, alwaar ze het Athénée Royal In Vielsalm (Wallonië ) heeft bezocht ( ze spreekt vloeiend Frans ).

 

Na de middelbare school is ze in het jaar 2000 gaan studeren aan het Maastricht Institute of Arts, hier heeft ze vervolgens haar eerste graad lerarenbevoegdheid gehaald in 2004.

 

In september 2004 ging ze de masteropleiding wetenschappelijk illustrator volgen  aan de Maastricht  University een samenwerkingsverband met het Maastricht Institute of Arts.

 

Na het behalen van de mastergraad in 2007 heeft ze enkele jaren als zelfstandig wetenschappelijk illustrator gewerkt, maar ze zocht uiteindelijk toch de combinatie van docentschap en wetenschappelijk illustrator.

 

Sinds 2010  combineert ze nu het leraarschap aan het Johan de Witt-gymnasium te Dordrecht met het wetenschappelijk illustreren.

 

Iris heeft onder andere illustraties gemaakt voor de universiteit van Lille ( Frankrijk ), universiteit van Nijmegen, A.Z. Maastricht,

wetenschappelijke uitgeverij Acco in Leuven, diverse private personen, zoals kandidaat PHD studerenden en vele anderen.

 

Zij staat open voor nieuwe opdrachten.

 

 

 

Iris Post was born in Meppel (Netherlands) in July 1982. At the age of eleven she moved to Belgium, where she attended the Athénée Royal In Vielsalm ( Wallonia ,so she speaks fluent French).

 

After high school she started studying at the Maastricht Intitute of Arts in 2000, where she then obtained her first-degree teaching qualification in 2004.

 

In september 2004 she went on to follow a master's degree in scientific illustrator  at Maastricht University, a partnership with the Maastricht Institute of Arts .

 

After obtaining her master's degree in 2007, she worked for several years as an independent scientific illustrator, but she eventually sought the combination of teaching and scientific illustration.

 

Since 2010  she now combines teaching at the Johan de Witt-gymnasium in Dordrecht with scientific illustration.

 

Iris has made illustrations for the University of Lille ( France ), University of Nijmegen, A.Z. Maastricht, scientific publisher Acco in Leuven, various private persons, such as candidate PHD students and many others.

 

She is open for new new assignments.
